Power LNG and Mexico-based LNG infrastructure company Énestas have signed definitive agreements to form a strategic partnership to accelerate LNG infrastructure development at the Port of Galveston, Texas (U.S.).
Power LNG and Mexico-based LNG infrastructure company Énestas have signed definitive agreements to form a strategic partnership to accelerate LNG infrastructure development at the Port of Galveston, Texas (U.S.).
Énestas will provide capital, LNG transportation and storage equipment, and downstream operating expertise for Power LNG’s Harborside Terminal and Project Seawolf, a planned LNG liquefaction and marine bunkering facility on Pelican Island. The partnership will enable near-term LNG truck loading and distribution while Project Seawolf is developed, serving marine bunkering, virtual pipeline customers, industrial users, and LNG export markets across the Gulf Coast, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Project Seawolf is intended to become a regional LNG hub supporting marine fueling, truck loading, virtual pipeline distribution, and international exports, benefiting from its location within the growing Port of Galveston cruise, cargo, and energy corridor.
For Énestas, the agreement marks an expansion of its downstream LNG operations into the U.S. market, building on more than a decade of LNG infrastructure experience in Mexico. The companies also plan to pursue additional downstream LNG opportunities across the Gulf Coast, combining Énestas’ operational capabilities with Power LNG’s project development expertise.
