Ex-Tory voters back renewable energy for lower bills

A recent survey of ex-Conservative voters highlights a growing preference for renewable energy sources as a solution to rising energy costs.

Conducted by the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF), the poll found that wind and solar energy were seen as the most effective options for lowering household bills.

Almost half of the respondents (49%) supported wind power, while 43% backed solar energy.

In comparison, oil and gas received significantly lower support, with only 16% and 27% of voters believing they could help reduce energy bills.

The results come after a rise in energy prices across the UK.
