U.S. Crude Flows to Nigeria Surpass Imports for First Time, EIA Reports

For the first time, the United States became a net exporter of crude oil to Nigeria in early 2024, driven by shifts in refinery operations and rising demand from Nigeria’s new Dangote refinery, according to the EIA.
