Energy Secretary designates company for carbon storage contracts

The Low Carbon Contracts Company Ltd (LCCC) has been designated by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero as the counterparty for carbon dioxide transport and storage revenue support contracts.

This designation was made official on 5th August, following LCCC’s consent as required by the Energy Act 2023.
