Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has submitted a plan to expand its wind turbine factory in Hull.
The proposed development includes a new multi-purpose manufacturing building and a small staff welfare building.
The expansion is expected to add 40 full-time jobs, bringing the total number of employees at the site to 1,624.
Hull City Council will review the proposal to decide if it should go ahead.
According to the manufacturer’s application, the proposed development would be of “significant economic, social and environmental benefit”.
