A lightning strike at the Severn Trent Green Power facility in Cassington, Oxfordshire, led to a gas explosion in one of its storage tanks on Monday evening at 19:20.
This incident resulted in a significant fireball illuminating the night sky, according to witnesses.
Prompt response from emergency services prevented any reported injuries, and after approximately 24 hours of concerted efforts, the fire was successfully contained.
