Electricity smart meter installations in the UK decreased in August 2024, reaching the lowest total for that month since 2020.
ElectraLink reported 188,000 installations, which is a 10% decline from July and 12% lower than in August 2023.
In 2024, there have been 1.58 million installations, adding to nearly 24 million since ElectraLink began tracking in 2012.
The regions with the highest installations were East England with 24,000, Southern England with 21,000 and the East Midlands with 18,000.
