In July, electricity smart meter installations rose by 17% compared to June 2024, with a total of 208,000 meters fitted.
This increase represents an additional 30,000 installations from the previous month.
Year-to-date, there have been 1.39 million smart meter installations, which is slightly ahead of the 1.36 million recorded during the same period last year.
Since 2012, nearly 23.7 million smart meters have been installed.
Regionally, the leading areas for installations in July were East England with 27,000 meters, Southern England with 21,000 meters and the East Midlands with 20,000 meters.
