Thames Water allocates £500k to aid vulnerable customers

Thames Water has announced an additional £500,000 in funding for its Thames Water Trust Fund, aimed at providing support to vulnerable customers.

This boost in funding includes £400,000 allocated for grants to local organisations.

Its primary objective is to offer grants to customers experiencing financial difficulties and to provide financial advice services through local organisations.

In the previous fiscal year (2022/23), the Trust Fund extended assistance to more than 4,000 customers.

Administered by Auriga Services, this injection of funds is expected to expand the reach and impact of the Trust Fund, to reach more individuals in need.

Thames Water’s plans include supporting an additional 53,000 households in the upcoming financial year, thereby increasing the total number of families receiving assistance to 384,000.
