Top bins! Spurs helping STEM success for kids

Spurs have had a shaky season on the pitch but they are certainly top of the league when it comes to STEM advocacy.

The Premier League giant has teamed up with Schneider Electric to launch a transformative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programme for 12 local primary schools in the Tottenham area.

The collaboration aims to ignite pupils’ curiosity and equip them with skills relevant to the growing demands of the energy transition and the rapidly evolving technology sector.

The nine-week initiative, scheduled to begin in the summer term of 2025, will feature hands-on workshops aligned with the National Curriculum, covering topics such as robotics and machine control, sustainable energy, energy efficiency and eMobility.

Challenge Days will immerse pupils in real-world scenarios, encouraging them to work in teams and develop problem-solving abilities.

Schneider Electric employees will volunteer their expertise, demonstrating cutting-edge industry practices and offering professional insights into future-focused careers.

Teachers will also receive targeted training, ensuring they are fully prepared to guide and inspire pupils throughout the process.

The initiative culminates in a ‘Finals Day’ at F1 DRIVE London, an electric karting facility located beneath the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s iconic South Stand.

Pupils will apply their newly acquired knowledge and showcase their STEM projects in a fun, competitive environment.

Schneider Electric’s partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club supports the operation of one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the world, powered entirely by renewable energy.

Named the Premier League’s greenest club for five consecutive years, the club is pushing how innovation can drive sustainability in sports and beyond.
