UK price comparison site expects no energy switching growth in 2023

Price comparison website MoneySuperMarket has announced its half-year results, revealing its outlook on energy switching for the year.

The company does not foresee significant returns from this sector in 2023.

Energy switching, a process where customers switch to different energy suppliers to potentially get better deals and rates, has been an area of interest and opportunity for the company in the past.

In contrast to MoneySuperMarket Group’s expectations, the latest electricity switching figures from Energy UK have shown a surge in energy switching activity.

According to the report released just a few days ago, around 170,636 customers decided to switch to a different energy supplier last month.

This represents a remarkable 77% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
