King Charles to attend COP28

The King has accepted an invitation to attend the Opening Ceremony of the World Climate Action Summit at COP28 UAE.

This invitation was extended by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and was made at the request of His Majesty’s Government.

The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 1st December, in Dubai.

King Charles will play a prominent role by delivering the opening address.

The event, hosted by the President of the UAE, is expected to bring together global leaders to discuss climate action on an international scale.

Beyond the summit, the King will take the opportunity to engage in discussions with regional leaders.

These meetings are positioned to occur ahead of COP28, underscoring the importance of diplomatic interactions and cooperation in the context of climate change.
