Offshore workers clean up the coast

Across the UK and Singapore, staff from Seatrium Offshore have taken part in beach cleans to remove litter and waste – running initiatives in parallel from across the globe.

Colin Yaxley, managing director of Seatrium Offshore Renewable Services, said: “Our teams may be thousands of miles apart, but we share a common commitment to protecting our coastlines and contributing positively to the communities around us.”

“As a business working in the offshore renewable energy sector, we understand the importance of our marine environment. We are proud of our people for giving their time to support it”

The latest UK beach litter figures in 2025 showed an average of 141 items per 100 metres of beach. In separate studies, plastic accounted for 87% of litter recorded on UK beaches, while a Singapore coastal study found that more than 90% of their marine litter is plastic.

This year, ExxonMobil, Cooec and QaatarEnergy also took part in beach cleans.
